Poland Entry DeskEU market entry for FMCG producers

Duties & trade agreements

Your duty depends on where you ship from

The EU charges standard duties unless your country has a trade agreement with it. Tariff rates by HS code are free on the European Commission's Access2Markets; we explain what they mean for your products in Poland.

China

No EU trade agreement

Standard EU duties apply. Some products carry anti-dumping duties, and several foods face extra border checks.

Vietnam

Agreement in force since 2020

The EU–Vietnam trade agreement cuts duties in yearly steps. Many food lines already enter at reduced or zero duty with proof of origin.

South Korea

Agreement in force since 2011

The EU–Korea agreement removed duties on most goods. Proof of origin is needed to claim the zero rate.

Thailand

Negotiations in final stage

Most chapters were provisionally closed after the tenth round in September 2026. Both sides aim to finish in 2026; standard duties apply until the deal takes effect.

Indonesia

Concluded, not yet in force

The EU–Indonesia agreement was negotiated in 2025. Entry into force is expected in early 2027 at the earliest.

Egypt

Association agreement

Most industrial goods enter duty-free. Farm and processed-food access is partly liberalised, with quotas on some lines.
