Ethylene oxide alone caused 619 alerts; nuts and seeds (including sesame), spices and food supplements are the most affected groups. Several Indian foods are on the EU list of products with more frequent border checks (Implementing Regulation 2019/1793). Test every lot in an accredited lab and send the report with the shipment.
Trade: Eurostat Comext, dataset DS-045409 (EU trade since 1988 by HS2-4-6 and CN8), Poland as reporter, imports, value in euros, annual. Country = country of origin. Retrieved 2026-10-27. Eurostat database. Goods cleared through customs in another EU country and then shipped to Poland count as that country’s trade, so real use in Poland is higher. Change compares 2025 with the first year above €100,000.
