The minimum applies per production batch in the consignment. Smaller batches are not checked at the border, but IJHARS can still check the product later on the Polish market.
The importer notifies the regional IJHARS office (form SWW05, also online through PUESC). IJHARS checks documents, labelling and packaging and may take samples; there is no fee unless the product fails.
Sanepid: food safety
Some codes checkedOn the Sanepid list only for products without ingredients of animal origin. Biscuits with milk, butter or egg follow the composite-product route instead.
Veterinary inspection
Depends on the recipeBiscuits and wafers with milk, butter or egg are composite products. Shelf-stable ones normally need only a private attestation from the importer.
